GreenLamp is a globally-minded organization, united by our shared vision of a bright future for women and girls. Our Zurich-based board is supported by a broad spectrum of companies, organizations and individuals who power GreenLamp with practical solutions, local knowledge and financial sponsorship. All our Board members are volunteers: click on a photo to get introduced, and follow 'go to link' to send an email.

Christina Blecher
Christina is the inspiration behind GreenLamp and, as President, she is our driving force. Responsible for our strategic direction, Christina also draws on her wide network to build important relationships and lead vital fundraising. Christina has an overview on all GreenLamp activity and, driven by her passion for social justice, she leads with determination and an acute sense of responsibility for all that we do.
Linda Elzvik
Vice President
Linda has great energy and vast experience in event management, external relations and business development. She is a tireless advocate for GreenLamp, and works closely with the communications team and on fund raising projects. She derives huge satisfaction from the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of women and girls in Ethiopia, and values the chance to broaden and sharpen her own professional skills.
Kathleen Hedman
Kathleen brings stability on board and jumps in wherever needed. An independent thinker able to work and be part of the ever-developing GreenLamp team, Kathleen is there to make a difference to the communities we support. Her depth of knowledge of board processes and methodology are a great asset to the team. Flexibility is key for her. When confronted with a challenge, Kathleen faces it head on and gets things done practically and objectively.
Joanna Boyd
Joanna has been a GreenLamp Member since our inception and is passionate about our vision. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant who loves a challenge and is involved with all aspects of our work, from strategic workshops to fundraising and project work. She is in the final stages of her Masters Degree in Charity Financial Management and Grant-making at CASS Business School in London.
Henriette Becker
Henriette heads up the organization of GreenLamp’s events with her typically cool, calm and collected approach. Passionate yet meticulous, she can always be relied on for fresh ideas and practical solutions. Henriette’s nursing background, German language skills and familiarity with all things Swiss make her an invaluable asset to our team.
Carolina Vidal
Carolina has the creative genius and the strategic mind-set necessary to not only design anything and make the message have the wanted impact, but contributes daily to the ethics and thought process behind all that we do. Through her flair and depth of insight, the team benefits greatly from her cultural understanding and keen intellect. GreenLamp offers her the opportunity of being creative for a good cause while learning new skills within an inspiring team.
Camilla Tregonning
Camilla thrives on the energy created by bringing people together, and enjoys challenges that combine her communications, project and event management skills gained over 15 years in business. She oversees our communications and branding, and is a calm, level-headed contributor to our lively board discussions. She quickly integrated into our team, bringing her passion, integrity and good humor with her.
Verena Bergmann
Treasurer & Membership
Verena really likes numbers! She brings to GreenLamp her extensive experience in accounting, project work and involvement with Swiss associations. She is a team player, well organized, and likes to work in international environments. As the first Swiss-born, German mother tongue board member she is a much valued part of the team.
Anette Schreyer
Customer Relationships
Anette is the driving force behind our Customer Relationship Management System. She loves the opportunity to learn new skills and enable Greenlamp to focus on our supporters, donors, friends and advocates.
Anette brings to Greenlamp leadership skills, the ability to communicate complex issues simply, tenacious action planning and strict advocacy of governance. A team player, multilingual and strategy focused, she is a valuable member of our team.
Maria Gårdemyr
Sweden Representative
Maria is a self‐directed, goal oriented doer as well as a team-player. She is an experienced business professional and believes in a working style based on service, quality and integrity, along with a positive attitude. From November 2012 to April 2016, Maria safeguarded GreenLamp’s finances and was part of the project management team. After moving back to her native country of Sweden, Maria is now our representative there.
Valaria Akroyd
Projects & Fundraising
Donations are critical to our work, and Valeria brings a wealth of fundraising experience along with some impressive business acumen acquired over twenty years of working in international trade. A strong team player, she is passionate about women’s rights and maternal health and welcomes the chance to share her skills for a cause close to her heart.
Catherine Knight
Projects & Fundraising
Management Consultant, Business Psychologist and founding contributor to the Hamlin Midwives Alumni Network (HMAN), Catherine is part of our fundraising team, with a particular focus on CSR. Her inspiration comes from enabling others to lead, develop confidence and increase their impact, all vital skills for Hamlin Midwives. As a specialist in organisational effectiveness, change management and team working, Catherine’s goal is also to support the entire GreenLamp board.
