At GreenLamp we focus on projects that have demonstrable short and long-term impact on the lives of young women and girls. We work closely with local experts and institutions to ensure that the funding goes exactly where it is most needed.

GreenLamp funds the education of midwives at the Hamlin College of Midwives in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Once degree qualified, the midwives work in rural health centers throughout the country, and act as role models for younger women in their communities.

Solar Suitcases bring  power to delivery rooms, significantly reducing birth complications. GreenLamp and its partners have supplied over 160 Solar Suitcases in Ethiopia and we continue to fundraise for this life-changing technology.

As part of our strategy to empower women through education, GreenLamp has initiated Interpersonal Skills and Leadership workshops in Nonviolent Communication with the final year midwifery students at Hamlin College of Midwives. These skills are easily transferable, helping women develop as leaders as well as role models
